About Us
Bridging Africa’s Digital Divide
Empowering Girls Through Tech and Innovation.
NGiT
Naija Girls in Tech (NGiT) is a pan-African social impact initiative founded by Nigerian women. Our mission is to bridge the gender gap in Africa’s digital space by equipping girls and young women with future-ready skills, leadership confidence, and entrepreneurial tools.
We empower girls aged 16 – 35 to create apps, build robots, design AI solutions, and launch tech startups. NGiT is more than a program; it is a movement shaping the future of African technology and innovation.

Our Strategic Pillars

Empower
We believe that empowerment begins with access to knowledge and tools. Through practical, inclusive, and culturally relevant education, NGiT equips African girls with foundational and advanced skills in:
- Digital literacy and online safety
- Coding and web/app development
- UI/UX design and digital product design
- Data science, analytics, and visualisation
- Robotics, AI, and emerging technologies
- Cybersecurity and digital compliance
Innovate
Innovation is not just about tools but the right mindset. NGiT fosters a culture where girls are encouraged to dream, question, build, and iterate. We create environments where ideas come alive through:
- Design thinking and user-centred problem-solving workshops
- Innovation labs where girls build apps, devices, and solutions
- Hackathons, design challenges, and tech-for-good competitions
- Case studies and group projects focused on African development issues
- Encouragement of “fail fast, learn faster” experimentation
Lead
We are raising digital leaders. Leadership at NGiT is cultivated through intentional mentorship, exposure, and experiential learning, including:
- Personal development and self-confidence coaching
- Public speaking, storytelling, and digital presentation sessions
- Opportunities to lead tech clubs, teams, and community projects
- Role modelling through visibility of successful African women in tech
- Civic tech training and community engagement initiatives
Entrepreneurship
NGiT believes in equipping girls not just for jobs, but to create jobs. We embed entrepreneurship as a core part of our model, offering:
- Training in ideation, product development, and business modeling
- Hands-on startup creation labs and pitch bootcamps
- Access to seed funding, startup toolkits, and incubation support
- Exposure to local and international female founders and investors
- Partnerships with fintech, e-commerce, and logistics companies for MVP testing
Community
Our impact is strengthened by belonging. We nurture a strong, values-based community where girls learn from each other, grow together, and lift others as they rise. Community-building includes:
- Launching NGiT Tech Clubs in schools and universities
- Hosting meetups, safe spaces, and digital peer support circles
- Creating alumnae networks and lifelong learning opportunities
- Building a mentorship ecosystem powered by African women in tech
- Fostering inclusive spaces where diversity is embraced, including girls with disabilities and those from marginalised backgrounds
